ABOUT ME

photographer and visual artist with more than 20 years of experience whose practice ​explores portraiture, editorial photography and an ongoing exploration of identity. Her work is characterized by a strong aesthetic and narrative sensibility, combining a documentary approach with a contemporary vision of the image.

Her practice has been shaped by extensive experience across Argentina, London and the United States, where diverse cultural and creative environments have formed her visual language and perspective. She graduated from the Visual Journalism and Documentary Practice program at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York and went on to establish and further develop her photographic practice in Los Angeles.

Over the course of her career, ​​her work has been published internationally in​ numerous publications. Her photographs have been exhibited in galleries and cultural institutions across Argentina, London​ and New York. Her work has also received international recognition through awards and distinctions from organizations including the International Photography Awards (IPA), the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) and Prix de la Photographie Paris (PX3).

Alongside her personal and artistic practice, ​X​imena brings extensive experience in advertising, editorial production, and creative direction, having collaborated on campaigns and visual projects for international brands and creative teams. This multidisciplinary background has given her a sophisticated understanding of image-making, visual language, aesthetic direction, and narrative development, allowing her to move fluidly between commissioned and fine-art practices.

Her work is ultimately grounded in a sustained interest in people, identity and the visual narratives that emerge from everyday life.
